— I just wrote and submitted a short story for a new weird western anthology. In “A Taste of Purgatory,” a defrocked preacher faces his own damnation when a gateway to Hell, or possibly a geological event, opens and erupts beneath him. This one was a blast to write and includes an exploding outhouse, followed by some on-the-fly theological reflection.
UPDATE 7/25/20: The submission has been accepted! Contracts are signed. The anthology is Six Guns from Hell, Vol. 3 and will be available in paperback and e-book, mid- to late-August. Yeehaw!
