My first traditionally published short story!

Tales From Dry Gulch, an anthology of weird western tales set in a mythical Colorado town, just hit Amazon, and it features my short story, “Six Toes in a Boot.”

Editor/Author David B. Riley has put together a nifty collection of stories. The guidelines spelled out descriptions of the residents of Dry Gulch, a little about the town, and then he began accepting submissions.

“Six Toes in a Boot” features my boy-sized, 300-year-old vampire bounty hunter Junipero Vengado, who works for the Catholic Church. In this story, The Sundown Kid is tasked with retrieving a stolen sacred relic that has found its way into the Dry Gulch Saloon. Hilarity and a little mostly-harmless bloodletting ensue.

Several of the other stories have ghostly elements, and of course, there’s a little green alien from outer space who plays piano in the saloon. It’s all PG-rated, weird western fun.
